The Mindanao Media Advocates for Environment Preservation are composed of active media practitioners all over Mindanao and started their mother club in this city. The group's main task is to organize environment advocates and watchdog in the grassroots dubbed as "MMAEP Green Scouts" and as their tool in advocacy programs. The group will launch a newsletter this month.

Among the group's program is monitoring some environmental concerns and give citations and awards to private and government institutions which have implemented and applied sound environment practices, particularly in the implementation of Materials Recovery Facilities.

Its vision is also to enhance environment advocacy utilizing their expertise in media practice as a great tool for quality implementation of laws and practices in preserving and protecting Mother Earth for the future generations.
MMAEP's chartered members are composed of tri-media practitioners in Cagayan de Oro City and
Misamis Oriental as its mother club and soon will invite all media practitioners all over Mindanao to join their environmental advocacies and urge them to organize in their own locality.
